First in our group of companies was Deas AS. It was established in 1992. It's main line of activities was and still is Scientific Research and development of new chemical compounds, new technologies and their scaling up for industrial production.

Few years later Renek Kemia AS was started as a chemicals export-import company. Renek Kemia is a member of Estonian Chemical Industry Association and Estonian Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

In late 1999 Renek Kemia AS and Deas AS merged their strengths and established a new Fine and Specialty Chemicals producer - Carboshale AS. Renek brought in its international marketing skills and Deas its decades of brainwork in Chemical Research and Development. This initiative was an outcome of two years close co-operation of both companies.

First batches of production were shipped in February 2000. From two persons our laboratory staff has grown to eight people. We have achieved a recognised position in alkylresorcinols chemistry worldwide.
