APPLICATIONS
Orcinol, is a reagent for detection of aromatic aldehydes and of carbohydrates.
Used as 0,55% solution in acidified EtOH with 0,9% ferric chloride, Bial's
reagent, for detn. of sugars, glycosides and sulpholipids.
