5-methylresorcinol was produced in several tons worldwide, we can make it in hundreds of tons; several of other fine chemicals we have noted can also be produced if they will be needed. 5-methylresorcinol is something incredible - it is almost 4 times less toxic than Resorcinol or 2-methylresorcinol and can be used in most of the applications these compounds are used in - it is valuable raw material for pharmaceuticals, analgesics, food additives, cosmetics, fragrances, biocides, fungicides, dyes, hair dyes, high value photoactive resins and novolacs for electronics industry, additives for plastic and rubber industry -UV protectors, antioxidants, stabilizers...

 

P-Orsellinic acid is like salicylic acid, it tastes like aspirin and is excellent additive for capacitor electrolytes. P-Orsellinic acid methyl ester is a raw material for inhibitors of eosinophils, modulators of cysteine protease etc.
